Scan for Deleted Files and Folders

Any accessible Logical Drive shown in MultiStage Recovery can be scanned for deleted files or folders. To perform a scan all you need to do is the following:

  1. 1. Select any Drive item in the Logical Drives tree.



    When the default scan has finished, detected files and folders will be displayed in the MultiStage Recovery Explorer:

  2. If the desired files or folders are not found try another drive scan method:

    NTFS Second Scan

    Click this option to start an advanced NTFS scan. This method takes more time than the default scan but can detect files from the fully-formatted NTFS partitions.

    FAT Second Scan

    This method performs a search for lost files and folders on FAT volumes only.

  3. When the scan process starts, a progress bar is displayed to indicate the scanning progress. During scanning, a Cancel button becomes available and can be used to terminate the scan process.



    After completion of the Logical Drives scan, you can browse the content of the scanned drive by using MultiStage Recovery Explorer.
